Hugbeats started in a Brooklyn living room in 2023 — when our co-founder watched her two kids ignore each other for the third night in a row, each glued to a different screen. She wanted to design the opposite of that.

From our first prototype (a strawberry made of felt and tin foil) to today's premium microfiber characters, every Hugbeats plush is designed in California, hand-tested by a council of unimpressed five-year-olds, and shipped from a small warehouse outside Los Angeles.
